Elite Recognition: Celebrating Our Win in Africa’s Top 100 Wedding Venues Awards
Introduction:
The thrill of winning awards is often a moment of celebration, but for me, this recognition holds a profound significance.
Exactly one year ago, on March 4th, my life took an unexpected turn when a 900kg gate fell on me while I was opening it for wedding guests. Miraculously, I survived, and the journey since then has been one filled with challenges, blessings, and overwhelming support.
The Miracle of Survival:
The day of the accident remains etched in my memory, as I fell in an unusual manner and sustained a wedge fracture. It’s nothing short of miraculous to think that if the pressure had been just 1% more, I could have been paralyzed. Yet, amidst the chaos and pain, divine intervention seemed to be at play.
Three months prior to the accident, I made the decision to obtain medical aid, a choice that proved providential when the accident occurred.
When six men struggled to lift the gate off me, my husband arrived and, with seemingly supernatural strength, lifted it effortlessly, saving me from further harm.
Support and Gratitude:
Following the accident, my life became consumed by hospital stays, months of rehabilitation, and emotional turmoil. There were moments when I feared I’d have to relinquish my work with weddings, a passion that fuels my soul.
However, through it all, I’ve been surrounded by an incredible team of individuals whose unwavering support has been nothing short of miraculous. Their prayers, encouragement, and acts of kindness have been the bedrock of my recovery journey.
