Forevermore Moments is a one-of-a-kind intimate riverfront venue with a fairytale character. The venue was opened for celebrations in 2011.

Illze Erasmus sold her design company in Pretoria and moved with her husband to Heidelberg, where he was starting a new job. She saw an ad for a property in Heidelberg that was going on auction and decided to go view the property (against her husband’s wishes). It was really run down – and had been empty for a few years, but all she could see was the river, the willow trees and potential. Against all odds she managed to convince her husband to purchase the property. They started renovating, putting all their creativity and skills into making it look like the vision they had for it.

Illze was suddenly a housewife (with very little domestic skills) with a baby, and she really missed running a business and making an impact in people’s lives. She started doing parties, but soon had enquiries for other celebrations. Her first ever wedding was so stressful that she decided she would never do it again. And now 12 years later, she is still doing weddings and loving the celebrations of love and the stress that goes with it.

Forevermore Moments was envisioned as a place where people could come to experience the peace and love of God.

The name was a result of a through-the-night prayer session, asking God for a new name that carried His vision and promise. Forevermore Moments was chosen and based on Psalm 133, where God promises His blessing in abundance where there is unity.

Psalm 133: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is; For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.”

Unity is our vision for our family and for every couple who makes a covenant here before God.

We believe that weddings are special and holy, and we take the responsibility of doing weddings very seriously.
