At Forevermore Moments, we are often asked why our venue has a unique alcohol policy: we do not allow hard liquor at weddings and we do not operate a cash bar. While this may surprise some couples, our decision is rooted in one clear truth—weddings are sacred, special days that should be celebrated with joy, respect, and treasured memories.

Why We Don’t Allow Hard Liquor at Weddings

Hard liquor often leads to overindulgence and unruly behavior, which can quickly disrupt the atmosphere of a wedding. At a recent wedding, guests had access to an open bar that included spirits, and the results were heartbreaking: several guests were passed out, sick, and even throwing up. Instead of cherishing the couple’s vows and enjoying the reception, the celebration was overshadowed by excess.

This is not what a wedding should be. A wedding is a sacred union—a day to honor love, not lose it in chaos. By removing hard liquor from the equation, we create a safer, more joyful environment for you and your guests.

Why We Don’t Offer a Cash Bar

At Forevermore Moments, we also do not provide a cash bar. We feel it isn’t appropriate to make a profit from serving alcohol to your guests. Weddings should feel intimate and personal, not transactional. Guests may bring their own beverages, or couples can supply drinks such as wine, champagne, or beer, which encourage a lighter, more festive spirit without the risks of heavy drinking.
